Parish Finance Council (PFC)

We, the Officers of the Parish Finance Council, in which it is comprised of three (3) voting members, two (2) non-voting members, and a financial advisor, assists the pastor in the administration of the parish temporal matters. An active, well-formed PFC is a key element for promoting the financial health of a parish, assuring accountability, and assisting the pastor with his temporal responsibilities. Canon 532 defines the role of the pastor as the authoritative representative of the parish.

Canon 537 (scroll down to Can. 537) introduces the Parish Finance Council as a mandated body having an advisory and consultative role with the pastor.

We adhere to the Code of Canon Law and by local norms issued by the Local bishop.  To be effective we meet monthly to address specific agendas with access to all the relevant financial information and policies of the parish.
